Straight hair gets weighed down easily. Apply from about ear-level down — not the roots, not the scalp. The scalp makes its own moisture.
Scrunch it in, don't smooth it down.
Smoothing compresses the wave. Scrunching the conditioner upward lets it penetrate while respecting the natural pattern.
Be generous.
Curly hair is structurally drier than straight hair. The shape of the curl makes it harder for natural oils to travel down the shaft. Don't ration the conditioner.
Give it at least 2-3 minutes.
Coily hair benefits more from extended conditioning time than any other texture. The panthenol is building moisture into the strand: give it time to get there.
